The Social Enterprise Laboratory Award

The Social Enterprise Laboratory Award

Enabling Dimensions was presented with the Social Enterprise Laboratory Award, instituted by Digital Partners, a Seattle-based non-profit organisation (now merged with Grameen Bank). As part of the selection process, in 2002 Digital Partners invited project proposals from across the globe on ICT-based social initiatives. From the submissions, 10 project proposals were selected. Each selected project was paired with a prestigious buiness school and leading consultants to help formulate a feasible business plan. From the 10 business plans, four projects were finally selected for seed funding from Hewlett Packard in May 2003. Students from Theseus Business School, France worked with Enabling Dimensions to develop one of the winning proposals for EnableAll.org: Enabling Dimensions' initiative focusing on providing 'new skills for new economy' to youth with physical disabilites, using ICT-based distance learning.
