A series of eLearning modules was developed for the Apparel Export Council under the Ministry of Textiles. These were used to train low-skilled workers in stitching and sewing as part of a larger initiative to improve the quality of textile exports from India and position the country as an exporter of high-quality garments when manufacturing began shifting to Bangladesh and Vietnam. These modules were delivered in smart classrooms in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) to standardize learning outcomes. We developed this eLearning in English and Hindi, leading to standardized learning outcomes and better utilization of previously underused ITIs.
